Da Boneyard A Mayors Office of Culture Funded Event Museum of NCAAA, Boston

Da Boneyard is an Interactive Artistic Event Funded By Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Culture/Opportunity Grant and presented By Black Coral Inc a non profit that educates and empowers communities to support solutions for modern problems through nature and art and is spiritually guided by ancient Indigenous knowledge. We focus on social justice , health equity, and environmental justice. Da Boneyard is an installation that honors those who were impacted by the Pandemic, acknowledging customs and practices of African and Indigenous cultures. There will be an art exhibit on the lawn of the Museum of the National Center of Afro American Artists,as well as Music and Drumming from multiple cultures and Praise dance. Refreshments and the interactive art of decorating of a ceremonial Yoruban mound for the departed as well as bottle trees for guiding the departed souls will be integrated into the installation. Featured will be the Art of Black Coral Inc.’s Eco Activists; Pam Goncalves (Artist/Social Justice Activist/The Bottle Tree Lady).
